thank you for this comprehensive article! the more we learn, the less we feel that we know. it is so important to truly engage with what we are learning, to challenge our own assumptions and beliefs systems, and to be conscious of applying our newfound learnings.
I’ve been very guilty of doing it. Researching for this newsletter gave me a lot of insights. My reading skills have improved, I feel. Thanks for reading!
I’ve always been within the mindset of understanding and comprehension to use my knowledge and refine it into wisdom on what I’m learning and I see that it’s super practical when it comes to really knowing what I’m doing or talking about especially when I’m teaching someone else what I’ve learned, which I recommend everyone do to further enhance their understanding of what they’re learning.
dude. I loved it. the voice, the direct and clear no nonsense language, the awareness of your own shortcomings, speaking from lived experience. the subject as well. if one looks to become an expert, one mustn’t forget that empty practice doesn’t make perfect. perfect practice makes perfect. how intelligently and motivated and thoughtful you approach any subject or task will invariably dictate your outcomes. looking forward to reading your past writings and your future ones. keep it up and thank you!
Just wondering how AI will inform us with a “rational hierarchy of explanatory results” or present the seeker with a “skewed selection” to consider? In other words, an answer as synthesis with or without antitheses considered? Just wondering…
This is A GEM💎💎 Thank you for taking the time to share this!!! I myself am addicted to learning process lol it's something I enjoy though, But sometimes the things I TRULY want to stick, just doesn't until I go back and re read. I'm excited to try this frame work!

I’m not sure about becoming a “ genius “ , but one can becomes very good or maybe even an expert .
We can’t get away from IQ- my son can “process” in the 97th percentile . I don’t even come close. He can “think” on a level I can’t . Or is this really just “speed” ? He gets it in a day and I “get it “ in 10 years ?

Great article! I wonder how many people are wasting their time “learning” rather than understanding.
At least from a formal education system - there is no time for “understanding “ .

Teaching people how to learn for themselves. The basics of education but absent in many of todays teaching industries.

Adler inspired me too at 62. You don't mention how to make and keep notes and their role. I've used index cards.
